Our business provides construction-related services rather than general retail products. Payments made through the website must relate to genuine services, agreed project obligations or invoices issued by SC&P CIVILS LIMITED.
SC&P CIVILS LIMITED provides road construction, civil engineering and associated infrastructure services according to the requirements of individual projects.
Our services may include:
The precise scope of work, project location, specifications, responsibilities, estimated schedule and applicable commercial terms will be confirmed through the relevant quotation, contract or written project agreement.
Services are subject to project feasibility, site conditions, necessary permissions, resource availability and applicable regulatory requirements. We do not guarantee that every requested project can be accepted.
Clients may contact us to discuss their requirements and request a quotation.
A quotation may specify the proposed scope of work, price, payment schedule, anticipated commencement date, estimated duration, exclusions and other relevant conditions.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, a quotation is an invitation to proceed with a proposed arrangement and does not constitute confirmation that work has commenced.
A project will be accepted when the applicable proposal or contract has been accepted by the parties and any stated conditions for commencement have been satisfied.
We may request further information, conduct a project assessment or clarify technical requirements before confirming an engagement.
Any changes to an accepted quotation or agreed scope of work must be documented and approved by the parties before the additional or revised work proceeds, except where urgent action is reasonably necessary to protect safety or property and is permitted by the applicable agreement and law.
Each party must comply with the responsibilities set out in the applicable project agreement.
Clients are responsible, as applicable, for:
SC&P CIVILS LIMITED will perform the agreed services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the applicable contractual requirements and relevant legal obligations.
Responsibilities for site access, permits, utilities, surveys, materials, traffic management, health and safety arrangements and other project requirements will be allocated in the relevant contract or project documentation.
Neither party may materially change the agreed scope or responsibilities without the necessary approval under the applicable agreement.
Project prices and payment obligations will be specified in the accepted quotation, written contract, payment schedule or invoice.
Depending on the agreed project arrangements, payment obligations may include:
Each payment must correspond to the relevant project, quotation, contract, payment milestone or invoice.
Unless otherwise specified in the applicable agreement, payment amounts and due dates are determined by the relevant project documentation. Clients should review the payment description and amount before submitting a transaction.
Prices, applicable taxes and any additional charges will be communicated in the relevant quotation or invoice. VAT will be charged where applicable and in accordance with relevant requirements.
We do not offer recurring subscriptions or automatic recurring billing under these Terms. Payments are made for individual agreed projects, services, deposits, milestones or invoices.
Our website may provide online payment facilities for authorised business transactions relating to our construction and civil engineering services.
Online transactions may be processed through Stripe or another payment service provider identified during checkout.
By submitting a payment, you confirm that:
Payments remain subject to the payment provider’s authorisation and processing procedures. A submitted payment request does not necessarily mean that the transaction has been successfully completed.
Where a payment is declined, reversed or remains unconfirmed, we may contact the client to clarify the transaction and agree on an appropriate alternative payment arrangement.
Payment processing is subject to the applicable payment provider’s terms and privacy policy. Our use of a third-party payment provider does not change the underlying contractual relationship between SC&P CIVILS LIMITED and the client.
Some projects require an initial deposit before work is scheduled or commenced. Other projects may use staged payments linked to agreed milestones, completed work or other contractual events.
The applicable quotation or contract will specify the amount of any deposit, the payment due dates and the conditions governing subsequent payments.
A deposit will be applied to the relevant project in accordance with the agreed terms. It is not automatically refundable or automatically non-refundable in every circumstance. Any entitlement to a refund will depend on the contract, the work performed, costs properly incurred, the circumstances of cancellation and applicable law.
Stage payments are due according to the agreed payment schedule. Where a payment depends on a specified milestone, the relevant agreement should identify the milestone and any applicable approval or verification process.
If a client disputes a stage payment or invoice, the client should notify us promptly in writing, identify the disputed amount and explain the basis of the dispute. Undisputed amounts remain payable in accordance with the contract, subject to applicable law and any agreed arrangements.
Invoices will identify the relevant services or contractual obligations and the amount payable.
Clients must pay invoices by the due date specified in the invoice or applicable agreement.
If a payment is overdue, we may issue a reminder and contact the client to resolve the outstanding balance. Where permitted by the contract and applicable law, we may charge interest or reasonable recovery costs on overdue payments.
Any statutory rights relating to late payment, including applicable business-to-business late-payment provisions, remain subject to the relevant legal requirements.
If a material payment obligation remains outstanding, we may suspend affected work or defer further project stages where permitted by the contract and applicable law. We will take reasonable steps to communicate the issue and any proposed suspension before acting, except where urgent circumstances or the applicable agreement justify otherwise.
Project schedules and anticipated completion dates will be established according to the information available when the relevant agreement is made.
Construction schedules may be affected by site conditions, adverse weather, material availability, access restrictions, third-party activities, regulatory approvals, variations to the scope of work or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
If an event is likely to materially affect an agreed schedule, the affected party should notify the other party as soon as reasonably practicable.
Any extension of time, change to the work sequence or adjustment to the payment schedule will be handled in accordance with the relevant contract and applicable law.
We will not treat an estimated completion date as an unconditional guarantee unless the applicable written agreement expressly provides otherwise.
A client may request changes to the scope, specifications, schedule or other aspects of a project.
Before proceeding with a variation, the parties should confirm in writing, where practicable:
We are not obliged to undertake additional work unless it has been accepted in accordance with the applicable agreement.
Where immediate action is reasonably necessary to address a safety risk or protect property, any permitted emergency work and associated charges will be handled in accordance with the contract and applicable law.
Cancellation and termination rights are governed by the applicable project agreement and relevant law.
A client wishing to cancel a project or an agreed service should notify us in writing using the contact details provided on our website. The notice should identify the project, relevant quotation or contract reference, and the requested cancellation date.
Depending on the circumstances and the applicable agreement, cancellation may involve payment for work properly completed, materials reasonably committed to the project, authorised expenses and other amounts lawfully recoverable under the contract.
Any unearned deposit or advance payment will be assessed in accordance with the contractual terms and applicable law. We will not retain amounts where a refund is legally required.
We may terminate or suspend an engagement where permitted by the agreement and applicable law, including in cases of material breach, persistent non-payment or circumstances that make continued performance unlawful or impracticable.
Where appropriate, the affected party will be given notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy a remediable breach before termination or suspension.
Termination does not remove payment obligations that have already accrued or other rights and responsibilities that are intended to continue after termination.
Refund requests are assessed according to the applicable contract, quotation, invoice, the status of the project and applicable law.
A client seeking a refund should contact projects@scpcivils.com and provide the relevant payment reference, invoice number, project details and reason for the request.
Depending on the circumstances, refunds may be considered where:
Where a project has already commenced, the assessment may take account of work completed, materials supplied or reasonably committed, authorised costs and any other amounts lawfully payable under the agreement.
Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method where practicable and subject to payment-provider procedures. If an alternative method is necessary, it will be arranged with the client using an appropriate and verifiable process.
We aim to initiate approved refunds within 5–10 business days after the refund decision has been confirmed, where reasonably practicable. The time required for the funds to appear in the client’s account may depend on the payment provider and the receiving financial institution.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts a refund or other remedy required by applicable law.
Construction and civil engineering activities may involve site-specific health and safety risks.
Each party must comply with the health and safety obligations applicable to its role under the relevant contract and applicable law.
Clients must provide accurate information about known site hazards and comply with agreed access, induction and site safety requirements. Access to work areas may be restricted where reasonably necessary for safety, security or operational reasons.
Work may be suspended where a serious safety risk arises or where continuing would breach applicable legal requirements. Any resulting changes to the schedule or costs will be handled in accordance with the applicable agreement and law.
Projects may require planning permissions, road-opening permissions, environmental approvals, traffic management arrangements, utility coordination or other authorisations.
The relevant project agreement will identify, as applicable, which party is responsible for obtaining the required permissions and providing supporting information.
Each party must cooperate reasonably with lawful inspection, approval and compliance requirements relevant to its responsibilities.
We do not represent that a project can proceed without approvals that are legally required. Where necessary permissions have not been obtained, work may be deferred until the relevant requirements have been satisfied.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the website content, text, design elements, branding and other materials made available on our website are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may access and use the website for legitimate business enquiries and transactions relating to our services.
You must not copy, reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit website materials without appropriate authorisation, except where permitted by law.
Nothing in this section transfers ownership of intellectual property rights in project documents, designs, drawings or other deliverables. Ownership and permitted use of project-specific materials will be governed by the relevant contract and applicable law.
We aim to maintain accurate and accessible website information. However, website content is provided for general information and may be updated as our services and business arrangements change.
A general description of our services does not replace a project-specific quotation, contract or technical specification.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted website availability or that the website will always be free from technical errors. We may modify, maintain or temporarily suspend website functions where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance or operational reasons.
Nothing in this section excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Subject to that principle, each party’s liability will be determined by the applicable contract and relevant legal requirements.
Neither party will be liable for losses that are too remote or unforeseeable under applicable law. Where permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect or consequential losses that are not recoverable under the applicable contractual arrangements.
Any exclusion or limitation relating to business interruption, loss of profits, loss of opportunity or other commercial losses will apply only to the extent permitted by the applicable contract and law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Where a client contracts as a consumer, any mandatory consumer protections that apply to that transaction remain unaffected.
Neither party will be responsible for a failure or delay to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, where the relevant legal requirements for such relief are satisfied.
Such circumstances may include severe weather, flooding, fire, public emergencies, government restrictions, major supply-chain disruption, utility failures or other events that materially prevent performance.
The affected party should notify the other party as soon as reasonably practicable, explain the expected impact and take reasonable steps to reduce the effects of the disruption.
Any extension of time, suspension, variation or termination arising from such circumstances will be governed by the relevant agreement and applicable law.
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
Personal information may be used to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, manage contracts, coordinate construction services, process payments, issue invoices, maintain records and comply with legal obligations.
Where online payments are facilitated by a third-party payment provider, relevant transaction information may be processed under that provider’s applicable terms and privacy documentation.
Please review our Privacy Policy for further information about data collection, payment processing, data retention, cookies and your rights.
If you have a concern about our services, an invoice, a payment or a contractual obligation, please contact us in writing at projects@scpcivils.com.
Your communication should include the relevant project or invoice reference, a description of the issue and the resolution you are seeking.
We aim to acknowledge and review complaints promptly and work with the relevant client to clarify the facts and seek a reasonable resolution.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the parties may pursue the remedies available under the applicable contract and law.
Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent legal relief or exercising a statutory right.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in Northern Ireland, subject to any mandatory legal provisions that apply to the relevant transaction.
The courts of Northern Ireland will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to applicable jurisdiction rules, mandatory legal rights and any valid dispute-resolution provisions in the relevant project agreement.
Where a transaction involves a consumer or another party entitled to mandatory legal protections, nothing in this section is intended to deprive that party of rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in our services, website functionality, payment arrangements or legal requirements.
The updated version will be published on this page with a revised effective date where appropriate.
The terms applicable to an existing project will be determined by the relevant contract, any validly agreed amendments and applicable law. Publishing a revised version of these website terms does not automatically change an existing project contract.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be applied to the extent permitted by law or, where necessary, treated as severable.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent that they remain valid and enforceable.
These Terms, together with the applicable quotation, project agreement, invoice, payment schedule and other documents expressly incorporated into the relevant contract, form the contractual framework applicable to the relevant transaction.
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or overrides any mandatory legal rights.
Where a separate signed or otherwise validly accepted project contract contains specific terms that differ from these general website Terms, the documents will be interpreted together and the relevant project-specific terms will apply to the extent agreed and legally enforceable.
